Congratulation to the Admirals and in particular the Senior Class.   The picture attached to this post sums up the grind it out attitude of this class.   With that record combined with District and Region Championships and a Runner up at States, it is easy to praise this class and the rest of the Admiral Team for a job well done.  Good luck to this group as they take their game to the next level, combining an Education and Baseball pursuits in their lives ahead!

As for the returning Admirals, well no one is going to feel sorry for the Ads.   You are involved in a program with a very high bar.   There isn’t much celebration over runner ups!  We don’t hang banners nor balls on the wall for second place.  Take pride in that fact!  To achieve excellence, you pursue excellence and accept nothing else.   Until yesterday, Farragut had knocked Collierville out of the State 6 straight times.   Winning that championship game is a marathon not a sprint!

Read the press clippings around the State.  Farragut gets much more press for NOT winning than they would have for winning another championship.    You accept this challenge, not with arrogance or entitlement but a commitment to continue to work and enjoy your ride as part of the Admiral Family!  

Enjoy this beautiful long  Holiday Weekend with Family and Friends and thank God for this wonderful life we are truly blessed with while pausing to remember those that gave their lives for us to have it!    Then, I believe Coach Pate starts workouts on Tuesday……..”winners are made by the work put out when no one is looking”!
