Farragut Wins Back-And-Forth Affair Against Ooltewah

Farragut took the lead for good in the sixth inning to capture a back-and-forth game from Ooltewah by a 12-5 score on Saturday. The game was tied at five with Farragut Admirals Varsity batting in the bottom of the sixth when Parker Noland singled off of Malcolm, driving in one run.

Justen Freeman led Farragut to victory by driving in five runs. He went 3-for-4 at the plate. Freeman drove in runs on a home run in the fifth, a double in the sixth, and a double in the sixth.

The Ads captured the lead in the second inning. With one out in the second inning Jake Grooms drove in one run when he singled.

After Ooltewah scored one run in the top of the fifth, The Admirals answered with one of their own. Ooltewah scored when there was an error, scoring one run. The Ads then answered when Freeman homered off of Spurgeon, driving in one run.

Ooltewah scored three runs in the third inning. The big inning for Ooltewah came thanks to a single by Sullivan, a groundout by Manning, and a double by Walls.

Landon Smiddy earned the win for Farragut.. He went two innings, giving up one run, three hits, striking out one, and walking one. Malcolm took the loss for Ooltewah. He pitched one-third of an inning, giving up four runs, and two hits.

Willie started the game for Ooltewah. He pitched two and a third innings, allowing two runs, five hits, striking out two, and walking one. Collin Grove started the game for Farragut Admirals Varsity. He tossed four innings, giving up three runs, four hits, striking out four, and walking one.

Farragut  collected ten hits. Freeman, Parker Noland, and Cade Burkey each collected multiple hits for Farragut Admirals..

Ooltewah had nine hits in the game. Reed and Sullivan each collected multiple hits for Ooltewah.
