Farragut Baseball was honored last night with 2 additional inductees into the Farragut Hall of Fame. Coach Tommy Pharr, Ad Baseball Coach from 1998-2009 and Matt “Hammer” Ramsey, class of 2008. Both of the individuals have done much to honor themselves on the Field and more importantly off the field also.

Coach Pharr has coached at 4 High Schools (including CAK where is currently the Head Coach) and was an assistant at Tennessee Tech and Baylor University. While at Farragut and now CAK, Coach Pharr has 9 TSSAA Titles to his credit.

At Farragut, Hammer was a 4 year letterman before entering University of Tennessee where he continued his ability to contribute in several positions, including Pitching, Catching and in the field. Drafted by Tampa Bay, Matt took his skill set to the Bigs and has played for Tampa, Miami, Milwaukee, Houston and Los Angeles Angels. He is currently a Free Agent with hopes of the getting the “call” one more time. When you look “utility player” in the Dictionary you see a picture of Hammer.

Coach Pharr and Matt become the 12th and 13th inductees into the Farragut High School HOF representing the Admiral Baseball Program. Congrats again and the Ad Baseball Family could not be prouder of these men representing the Baseball Program with this prestigious honor!
