Farragut  grabbed an early lead on its way to an 18-3 victory over Heritage JV on Monday.

Farragut scored seven runs in the fifth inning. Farragut JV‘s big inning was driven by a passed ball , a double by Tyler Petterson, a single by Nick Barnes, a walk by Eric Mascia, a walk by Hunter Caywood, a fielder’s choice by Gabe Hensley, and a single by Tanner Corum.

Owen Clark earned the win for Farragut JV. He threw four innings, allowing two runs, three hits, and striking out four.   Brendan McLeod closed out the last inning on the mound.

Home runs for Farragut JV came when Alec Nussbaum homered in the second inning, Jake Evans homered in the fourth inning, and Zane Jessee homered in the third inning.

Farragut JV collected 11 hits. Jessee, Petterson, and Corum each collected multiple hits for Farragut JV. Corum, Petterson, and Jessee all had two hits to lead Farragut JV.
