Farragut JV Fights Back in a 5-4 loss.

Farragut JV‘s effort to come back from down four runs in the second inning came up just short, as they fell 5-4 to Maryville on Friday. Farragut JV scored three runs in the failed comeback on a passed ball , a error, and a double by Gabe Hensley.

Farragut JV was right in it until Maryville singled in the fourth inning

Maryville took the lead for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth Nathan Keough singled off of Ryan Hagenow, driving in one run.

Carter Finley earned the win for Maryville. He tossed three and two-thirds innings, giving up four runs, five hits, and striking out five. Shane Michaud recorded the last seven outs to earn the save for Maryville. Cooper Mashburn took the loss for Farragut JV. He went three innings, giving up five runs, six hits, and striking out two.

Gabe Hensley and Tyler Petterson each drove in one run to lead Farragut JV. Farragut JV was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Alec Nussbaum had the most chances in the field with five.

Maryville stole eight bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Michael Jones led the way with two.
