The Admirals traveled down to the southern extreme of District 4AAA for their second contest with the Heritage Mountaineers. Eric Freeman took the hill for the Admirals, and handcuffed the Mountaineers in six strong innings of work. Facing only 4 batters in each inning, except the third, when the Mountaineers scored their 2 runs, Eric pitched very well in recording the victory. Jordan Newby pitched a perfect 7th to finish up.

The Admirals got off to a great start, plating 3 runs in the first. Jammer lead off with a soft fly ball to short center that fell in, AJ walked, Nick Senzel singled to right, and Chase drove in a run by HBP. AJ scored on a WP, and Brett drove in a run, reaching on an error.

AJ drove in 2 more in the 2nd, with his homer to straightaway center. David Logan drove in a run with a 4th inning single, and Nick drove in another run with a 5th inning sac fly.

The Ads return home Wednesday to face the Lenoir City Panthers. The game will be broadcast on WUCPLP, and can be heard locally on FM99.9 and on the internet at WUCPLP.com.
