Monday 4/23 vs William Blount

Game #1 W 5-1

Game #2 W 6-0

In the first game of the evening Austin Stapleton got the start and had

another strong outing; 2 hits, 2 k’s, 0 earned in 2 innings.  Reed Schneider

got the save 1 hit, 4 k’s, 0 runs in 3 innings.  Reed was saved from

an extra base hit with a web gem in deep right when Eric Lessig made a

good play on a line drive while staring into the setting sun.

Austin Scheidt lead the way on offense with 2 hits, 2 stolen bases,

and 2 runs scored.  Brandon Donathan had 2 hits, 1 steal, and 1 run.  Sam Schulze

added 1 hit, 2 steals, 1 run, and 1 RBI.

In the twin bill on this cold night the pitching stayed hot.  Shyam Thiagarajon,

Will Sayers, and BIg Ben Rutter shut out the Guvs.  Sham went 2 innings with only 1 hit

and 2 K’s.  Will continued the shut out with 2 hits and 4 K’s.  Ben closed it out with

0 hits and 1 K..

The hitting in the 2nd game was evenly spread throughout the line up.  Sam

Schulze and Austin Bumbalough ripped doubles and Tyler Lugo drove in 2 with a single

in the 5th.  Sam Schulze at 2nd gets the web gem going deep to his left on a 4-3

grounder.

Tuesday 4/24 vs Catholic

L 10-3

The unusually cool weather finally cooled the JV Ads arms.  Eric Lessig had a tough start

lasting 1 inning with 1 strike out.  Ben Rutter got the call in the 2nd and 3rd innings and

shut down the Irish bats with 0 hits and just 1 unearned run.  Bull Strickland took awhile to heat

up, after rocky 4th inning he faced only 7 batters in the 5th and 6th innings combined.

The Ad bats were also affected by a cool spell, Jake Applegate had a double and Connor Boyd

had 2 singles.  On defense the web gem goes to SS Donathan ranging across 2nd for a 6-3 or Tyler

Lugo for 2 great scoops at first or Austin Scheidt’s long run from right field into foul territory on a

fly ball or a beautiful Donathan to Schulze to Lugo double play.
