Farragut Admirals Varsity beat Karns 10-3 in seven innings on Monday after a six-run explosion in the second inning.  The Admirals scored in the second on an RBI single by Chandler Chambers, an error,  a sacrifice fly by John Painter, an RBI double by Chase Fullington, and an RBI double by Nico Mascia.

Tyler Lugo racked up three RBIs on two hits for Farragut Admirals Varsity. He singled in the second and fifth innings.

Patrick Raby recorded the win for Farragut Admirals Varsity. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out four, walked none and surrendered six hits.  Eric Lessig pitched the sixth and seventh innings in relief, surrendering one run.

Tye took the loss for Karns. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked three and struck out none.

In the top of the first, Karns grabbed the early lead, 2-0, as a thunderstorm roared by the Ballpark. Beuchat got things going for Karns with a single. A stolen base then moved Beuchat from first to second. Pate singled, scoring Beuchat.  Karns pushed another run across when Beverly scored on an RBI single by Norton.

Farragut Admirals Varsity tacked on another three runs in the fifth. A sacrifice fly scored Painter to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Tyler Lugo’s single, bringing home Fullington and Duncan Pence.

The Admirals advance to Wednesday’s Region 2AAA Championship, hosting Hardin Valley Academy.  HVA eliminated  Powell 11-1.  The Admirals also advance to Friday’s sectional vs. a Region 1 team at a site TBD.
