Sequoyah falls 12-4 at the hands of the Admirals

Sequoyah had a tough outing on Saturday, as Farragut  dominated in a 12-4 win in seven innings at Farragut.

Farragut  scored five runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Cole Morgan, an RBI single by Duncan Pence, a two-run single by Nico Mascia, and an RBI single by Tyler Lugo.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the second, with seven lead changes.

Farragut  finally managed to grab the lead after a strong second inning. Farragut  went up for good on a two-run home run by Chase Chambers off Dalton, scoring Jake Applegate.

Chase Chambers racked up three RBIs on two hits for Farragut Admirals Varsity.

Keyes recorded the win for Farragut. He allowed four runs over four innings. Keyes struck out two, walked none and gave up eight hits.

Dalton took the loss for Sequoyah. He allowed nine runs in 4 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out five.

Farragut scored two runs of its own in the first. The  Admirals  scored on an RBI double by Chase Chambers and an RBI single by Nico.

Farragut  didn’t give up the lead after the second inning. Additional runs came from a sacrifice fly by Cole and an RBI single by Carson Strickland.
