Farragut Admirals  can’t capture shootout, loses 13-10 to T.C. Roberson, North Carolina

Fourteen hits weren’t enough for Farragut Admirals Varsity as it lost a shootout, 13-10 in seven innings, to T.C. Roberson, North Carolina on Saturday at Farragut.   ADs dug a deep hole early with multiple walks and HBPs!

Nick Senzel had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the fifth inning, singled in the third and seventh innings, and tripled in the seventh inning. 

Harwood recorded the win for T.C. Roberson, North Carolina. He allowed three runs over six innings. Harwood struck out six, walked two and gave up seven hits.

Bush, Lind and Cammarata helped lead T.C. Roberson, North Carolina. They combined for seven hits and eight RBIs.

T.C. Roberson didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring four runs in the first inning when it scored on a three-run double by Cammarata and an RBI single by Lind.

T.C. Roberson increased its lead with three runs in the third. A triple by Bush ignited the offense,, scoring Mcnair and Allen.

One run in the bottom of the third helped Farragut Admirals Varsity close its deficit to 8-1. An RBI single by Senzel triggered Farragut Admirals Varsity’s comeback. T.C. Roberson, North Carolina stopped the rally after Harwood got Chase Chambers to.

T.C. Roberson, North Carolina tacked on another two runs in the fourth. The inning looked promising, as Lind singled, bringing home Morgan to kick things off.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the fourth, Farragut Admirals Varsity faced just a 10-2 deficit. An RBI single by Sam Schulze sparked Farragut Admirals Varsity’s rally. Finally, Harwood induced an inning-ending fly out from Alex Schuettler.

T.C. Roberson, North Carolina matched its one-run sixth inning with one more in the seventh. In the sixth, T.C. Roberson, North Carolina scored on a wild pitch, scoring Lind.

Seven runs in the bottom of the seventh helped Farragut Admirals Varsity close its deficit to 13-10. A two-run home run by Jammer Strickland, a sacrifice fly by Chambers, an error, an RBI single by Schulze, an RBI single by Schuettler, and an RBI single by Senzel gave the Admirals life.   The Ads had the bases loaded before making the final out.
