Nick Senzel did all he could to give the Admirals a boost, but it wasn’t enough to get past Houston , as Farragut  lost 7-5 in seven innings at Riverdale on Friday.

Farragut  was led by a flawless day at the dish by Senzel, who went 1-1 against Houston ‘s pitching. He singled in the seventh inning.

Greer got the win for Houston . He allowed two runs over 3 2/3 innings. Greer struck out five, walked three and gave up two hits.   Shayne Mosiello took the loss with Freshman Duncan Pence goint a solid 3+ innings with Ben Rutter closing it out.

The game’s last lead went to Houston thanks to a second inning rally that saw three runs cross the plate on an RBI double by Lynd, a solo home run by Blackfan, and a passed ball.

Houston scored one run in the fourth inning, and then followed it up with one more in the seventh. In the fourth, Houston scored on a sacrifice fly by Roberson, scoring Lynd.

Two runs in the bottom of the fourth helped Farragut Admirals Varsity close its deficit to 6-2. A groundout by Patrick Raby and an RBI single by Brett Hagenow set off Farragut Admirals Varsity rally. The Farragut Admirals Varsity threat came to an end when Kennedy finally got Sam Schulze to strike out.

After pushing across three runs in the bottom of the seventh, Farragut Admirals Varsity faced just a 7-5 deficit. An RBI single by Senzel and a two-run error sparked Farragut Admirals Varsity’s rally. Houston ‘s Symon induced a Raby strike out to close things out.
