Thursday at Seymour the Ads chalked up a 10-6 W, It was a game that saw a lot of pitching and a lot of hitting. The offensive play of the game came with a bases loaded double by Kevin McCarthy that cleared the bases. Nick Carroll also contributed a pair of RBI’s with a bases loaded single. The defensive play of the game came in the bottom of the 7th, with runners on for Seymour, when a line drive to right center was stolen out of the air with a fantastic leap by Alec Rinehart.
On Friday, The JV Ads played two games in a tournament at home. The first game was won against Maryville by a score of 9-3. The hitting was the story of the game, with Painter contributing three singles and 2RBI, Keyes with a double and 2 singles for 2RBI, Abel with a double for 2RBI, Carroll with a single and 2RBI, and Pacifico with a sacrifice fly for 2RBI. Grooms and Clark took care of things on the mound.
Against Catholic, the Ads won 6-4 with all the excitement happening in the bottom of the 4th. Carroll had a bases loaded double that scored 2 RBI’s and Venero had a single that scored 2 RBI’s. The pitchers were Grove and Abel .
