A seven-run explosion in the second inning carried Farragut Admirals Varsity to an 11-0 win in five innings over Lenoir City on Friday.   The Admirals scored in the second on a fielder’s choice, an RBI single by John Painter, a groundout by Chase Fullington, a wild pitch, an error, and an RBI single by Tyler Lugo.

Cole Morgan racked up two RBIs on two hits for Farragut Admirals Varsity. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

Lenoir City’s lineup had no answer for Admiral pitching.  Dylan Pacifico pitched 2 no-hit innings (3Ks, 1 BB), as did Eric Lessig.  Pete Pratti closed the game pitching the fifth.  The Panthers only had 4 baserunners and had 1 hit.

Farragut Admirals Varsity stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring one run on an RBI double by Duncan Pence.

Maryville Rebels were 1-0 winners over the 5th seed Heritage Mountaineers in the nightcap.  The Admirals will face the Rebels on Saturday at the Ballpark at 2:30.  Lenoir City and Heritage will play at noon in an elimination game.
