Farragut defeated William Blount 7-3 by posting 4 runs in the first, righting the ship and cruising to the victory. The Admirals (12-4, 5-1 D4AAA) scored on a 2-run single by Jake Hagenow and a double by Justen Freeman in the first inning.
Owen Kovacs earned the win for Farragut . He went six and two-thirds innings, giving up 3 runs, 6 hits, striking out 5, and no walks. Brad Day came to the rescue in the 7th, and retired the side to gain the victory.
Justen Freeman led Farragut with three RBI. He went 1-for-2 on the day.
The Admirals are scheduled to host Lenoir City on Wednesday at 6:30. The Ads host the DeMarini-Diamond Academy Classic Tournament on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
