The Ads go 4-1 in DeMarini/Diamond Classic.   They finish todays double header with a split.

In todays opener, the Admirals fell 9-7 to Dyer County.  A tight game was decided in the seventh inning as the  Admirals  fell to Dyer County 9-7 in seven innings on Saturday at Farragut.

Roy Mutta was solid at the plate for Farragut Admirals Varsity. Roy went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second and fifth innings.

Spuer recorded the win for Dyer County. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Dyer County was sparked by Tivey and Pease, who teamed up for five hits and four RBIs.

Peter Pratti was the game’s losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out three.

Dyer County jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the second. Pease kicked things off for Dyer County with a single.

Farragut brought home one run in the second inning, and matched that run total in the fourth. In the second, Farragut scored on an RBI single by Roy , plating Danny Abbel.

The Admirals get back to District Play Monday Night as they travel to William Blount.  Get out and support your 2014 Admirals.

The game was never in doubt after the seventh, as Dyer County scored one run on an RBI single by Shell.

 

In the night cap….Pacifico’s pitching and Fullingtons hitting provided the spark, as the Admirals came out on top 5-3!

Dylan Pacifico picked up the win for Farragut. Dylan pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs, three hits and two walks while striking out three.

Serey took the loss for Danville. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed one run.

Danville jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second.

The game was never in doubt after the fifth, as Farragut scored two runs on an RBI double by Nico Mascia and a single by Chase Fullington.
