Farragut lost a hotly contested 10-6 game in seven innings on Monday at the Ballpark at Farragut after surrendering the lead in the seventh inning.

Chase Chambers did his best to jumpstart the Admirals’ offense, reaching base four times. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and sixth innings.

Hunter Henry got the win for Bearden. He allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered three hits.

Home runs for Bearden came when Helton homered in the sixth inning and Lane Thomas homered in the fourth and seventh innings. The 7th inning blast was a grand slam into Kingston Pike.  Bearden was sparked by Thomas and Helton, who teamed up for five hits and eight RBIs.

Duncan Pence took the loss for Farragut Admirals Varsity. He pitched one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
The Bulldogs scored first, plating a run after a leadoff error off Ford’s bat, and an RBI single.

It didn’t take long for Farragut Admirals Varsity to answer as it scored one run of its own in the first. Farragut Admirals Varsity scored on a sacrifice fly by Duncan.

Farragut Admirals Varsity scored one run in each of the second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth. In the second, Farragut Admirals Varsity scored on an RBI single by Sam Schulze, scoring Chase Fullington.  In the third, Farragut Admirals Varsity scored on a groundout by Duncan, plating Chase Chambers.  In the fourth, Farragut Admirals Varsity scored on an error, bringing home Roy Mutta.

Bearden went up for good in the seventh, scoring five runs on a homer by Thomas and an RBI single by Smith.
