Even before playing its first game at the state tournament, Collierville coach Jeff Hopkins figured his 30-12 Dragons already had caught a break.
“I looked at the draw and for the first time in what seemed like forever, Farragut wasn’t in our half of the bracket,” said Hopkins, whose team was put out in 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2011 by Farragut, who went on to win the state title each time.
