Farragut and Starr’s Mill traded the lead back-and-forth on Saturday, but eventually the Admirals  prevailed 13-3. Farragut  took the lead for good in the fourth inning. The game was tied at three with Farragut batting in the bottom of the fourth when Carson Wright homered off of Heinecke, driving in one run.

Farragut earned the victory despite allowing Starr’s Mill to score three runs in the second inning. Starr’s Mill’s big inning was driven by a passed ball , a single by Pepper, and a walk.

The Ads took an early lead in the first inning. Jake Hagenow doubled on a 1-1 count in the first inning, scoring one run.

Farragut knotted the game up at three in the bottom of the second inning. With zero outs in the second inning Zach Yunger drove in one run when he homered.

Farragut took the lead for good with one run in the fourth inning.

The Admirals  scored five runs in the fifth inning. Farragut’s big inning was driven by a walk by Ashton King, a walk by Carson Wright, and a single.

Starr’s Mill scored three runs in the second inning. The big inning for Starr’s Mill came thanks to a passed ball , a single by Pepper, and a walk.

Brad Day earned the win for Farragut.. He pitched three and a third innings, surrendering zero runs, one hit, and walking zero. Arnold took the loss for Starr’s Mill. He went three innings, allowing three runs, five hits, and striking out two.

Brad Grenkoski started the game for Farragut Admirals Varsity. He went one and two-thirds innings, giving up three runs, four hits, and striking out one.

Home runs for Farragut came when Yunger homered in the second and sixth innings and Wright homered in the fourth inning.

Farragut Admirals Varsity had 11 hits in the game. Yunger, Hagenow, Chandler Chambers, and Justen Freeman each collected multiple hits for Farragut Admirals Varsity. Freeman, Chambers, Hagenow, and Yunger each collected two hits to lead Farragut Admirals Varsity. Farragut Admirals Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Yunger had the most chances in the field with five.

Pepper led Starr’s Mill with one run batted in. He went 1-for-3 on the day.

The Admirals return to District Play Monday night hosting Heritage in the Annual Armed Forces Night.  This is an excellent night to assist in saluting our Armed Services and supporting your Admirals..
