Jake Grooms carried the big stick for the Admirals with 2 homers and 5 RBI to propel the Farragut  past Lenoir City 14-2 on Wednesday.  Grooms hit his homers in the first and second innings.

After spotting the Panthers with 2 first-inning runs, the Admirals (13-4, 6-1 D4AAA) regained the lead on a double by Jake Hagenow, a single by Parker Noland, Grooms’ first homer, and an error in the first inning.

Landon Smiddy earned the win for Farragut Admirals Varsity. He tossed five innings, allowing 2 runs, 4 hits, and striking out five.

Farragut Admirals Varsity had 12 hits in the game.  Noland and Grooms each collected multiple hits for Farragut Admirals Varsity.  Grooms and Noland had two hits to pace the Admirals.  The Ads played error-less defense.
