The Admirals tossed a combined one-hitter and finished off the Karns Beavers 12-2 in 5 innings Thursday night in the annual Throwback Night at the Ballpark. Played as a benefit for the National Parkinson’s Foundation and the Alzheimer’s Foundation, Throwback Night was a doubleheader, with Gibbs and Oak Ridge in the first game.

In the nightcap, the Ads jumped on the Beavers in the home half of the first inning. After 2 were out, Nick Senzel (2B and SS, 2 for 4) singled through the middle. Chase Chambers walked, and David Logan (1B and 3B, 3 for 4) singled in the first two Admiral runs.

Gabe Waldrop’s (DH and 2B, 2 for 3) triple started things in the Admiral 2nd. After Alex Schuettler walked, Jammer Strickland scored one with a sac fly to center, and Austin Scheidt drilled a no-doubter to left, bringing home 2 more.

The Ads plated 5 more in the 3rd, with David, Jammer, and Nick with hits.

Nico Mascia drove in the last Ad run in the 5th, after Chase had doubled, and taken 3rd on David’s fly to deep center.

Chase Chambers tossed a one-hitter at the Beavers, with 5 K’s and 6 BB. Chris Hutson finished things with a perfect 5th.

The Ads travel to Pigeon Forge tomorrow night to take on the Tigers. Game time is 7:30. The next home game will be Friday, May 4th, in the District 4AAA Tournament. That game will begin at 5:00.
