The top-seeded Admirals continued their march through the 2012 District 4AAA Tournament with a 5-inning, run-rule victory over the Catholic Fighting Irish on Saturday.

Kyle Serrano handcuffed the Irish with the 2-hit, 1-run victory, going the distance. With the season-long injury situation affecting the Admiral pitching staff, Serrano’s victory helps position the Ads well for the remainder of the tournament.

The Ads continued their hot hitting as well. David Logan (2 for 3, 2 HR, 5 RBI), Jammer Strickland (3 for 4, 1B, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI), and Chase Chambers (3 for 3, 1RBI) carried the big lumber for Farragut. The Ads scored 4 in the first, and 4 in the third to set up for the victory.

The Ads will take on the Maryville Rebels at 8:00pm Monday night, in a rerun of last year’s tournament. The Rebels defeated Bearden 5-0. There will not be radio for the game, so come out and help the Ads continue on their quest!! (Apologies, but announcing 3 straight games, and adding radio for the third is just too much for an old, retired middle-school coach :>)
