The Admirals jumped out to an early lead over Lenoir City and took home a 10-3 rain-shortened victory on Tuesday. Farragut scored on a double by Jake Hagenow and a triple by Cade Burkey in the first inning.
Farragut Admirals Varsity (7-1, 1-1 D4AAA) scored three runs in the third inning. The big inning was sparked by Ashton King’s walk.
Drew Patterson earned the win for Farragut Admirals Varsity. He went 5 innings, allowing 3 runs, 5 hits, striking out 7, and walking one. Landon Smiddy was pitching in the 6th when the game was called by weather.
Farragut had nine hits in the game. Chandler Chambers and Justen Freeman each collected multiple hits.
The Admirals return home to the Ballpark at Farragut for another D4AAA contest on Wednesday, with a 6:30 game versus Hardin Valley. The homestead continues with a Friday evening tilt against the Pigeon Forge Tigers on Friday.
