Four first-inning runs helped Farragut Admirals Varsity to a 9-4 win over Grissom, AL at Oakland on Friday.

 

 

Chase Chambers put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for Farragut Admirals Varsity. He doubled in the first and fourth innings.

 

Carson Strickland got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He allowed four runs over six innings. Carson struck out three, walked four and gave up six hits.

Farragut Admirals Varsity was sparked by Duncan Pence and Chase Chambers, who teamed up for four hits and three RBIs.

Kokocha took the loss for Grissom, AL. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.

Farragut Admirals Varsity brought home one run in the second inning, and matched that run total in the fourth. In the second, Farragut Admirals Varsity scored on a solo home run by Duncan.

Grissom, AL scored one run in the bottom of the third to cut its deficit to one. An RBI single by Foscue sparked Grissom, AL’s rally. The Grissom, AL threat came to an end when Carson finally got Johnson to fly out.
