Admirals start Panama City trip with 7-0 loss to Rutherford

Cole Morgan did his best to will the Admirals to a win with a two-hit game, but Farragut Admirals Varsity dropped a 7-0 contest to Rutherford on Tuesday at Panama City.

Holmes recorded the win for Rutherford. He tossed all seven innings of the shutout. Holmes struck out three, walked three and gave up four hits.

Rutherford was sparked by Nelson and Thornton, who teamed up for four hits and four RBIs.

Bo Baker ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
