Farragut Admirals Varsity and Bearden exchanged the lead five times on Wednesday, but Farragut  ended up on top with an 11-7 win over Bearden.  The Admirals took the lead in the ninth inning and held on for the victory. The Ads scored on an RBI double by Chase Fullington off Henry, bringing home John Painter.

Farragut Admirals Varsity hit three home runs in the win. Home runs for Farragut Admirals Varsity came when Duncan Pence homered in the second inning, Nico Mascia homered in the sixth inning, and Chase Chambers homered in the sixth inning.

Nico had two extra-base hits for Farragut Admirals Varsity. He doubled in the fifth inning, homered in the sixth inning, and singled in the eighth and ninth innings.

Bo Baker got the win for Farragut Admirals Varsity. He tossed 3 2/3 innings of shutout ball. Bo struck out five, walked two and gave up one hit.

Farragut Admirals Varsity’s Duncan, Chase Chambers and Nico Mascia combined for eight hits and seven RBIs.

Bearden jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first. A double by Vaughn, scoring Beam started the inning off. Bearden pushed more runs across when Thomas and Vaughn scored on a two-run single by Porritt.

Farragut scored one run in the second inning, and then followed it up with one more in the fifth. In the second, Farragut scored on a solo home run by Duncan.

Bearden brought home one run in the third inning, and matched that run total in the fifth. In the third, Bearden scored on an RBI single by Duncan, bringing home Porritt.

Bearden answered Farragut Admirals Varsity’s top inning with one run of its own in the fifth. Bearden scored on an RBI double by David Beam.

Nico Mascia’s solo home run helped Farragut Admirals Varsity score three runs in the sixth.

The Admirals host William Blount Friday 2:00pm at the Ballpark at Farragut.  The game will be followed by the Scott Dean Fieldhouse dedication at 5:00pm.  All are welcome to attend.
