Jake Grooms and Brad Day Team Up for a One Hitter on Heritage.

Farragut  defeated Heritage 6-0 on Friday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout.

Farragut grabbed an early lead. The Admirals  scored on a home run by Zach Yunger and a home run by Jake Hagenow in the first inning.

Farragut took an early lead in the first inning. With zero outs in the first inning Yunger drove in two runs when he homered.

One bright spot for Heritage was a single by Brandon Davis in the second inning.

Jake Grooms earned the win. He tossed six innings, surrendering zero runs, one hit, striking out three, and walking one. Blake Hughes took the loss for Heritage. He pitched seven innings, surrendering six runs, eight hits, and striking out one.

Farragut  had eight hits in the game. Yunger, Hagenow, and Carson Wright each collected multiple hits for Farragut.. Wright, Hagenow, and Yunger each managed two hits to lead the Ads.

Davis led Heritage with one hit in three at bats. Heritage was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Kyle Valentine made the most plays with nine.
