Baseball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams of nine players. The aim is to score runs by hitting a thrown ballwith a bat and touching a series of four bases arranged at the corners of a 90-foot diamond. Players on the batting teamtake turns hitting against the pitcher of the fielding team, which tries to prevent runs by getting hitters out in any of several ways. A player on the batting team can stop at any of the bases and later advance via a teammate’s hit or other means. The teams switch between batting and fielding whenever the fielding team records three outs. One turn at bat for each team constitutes an inning and nine innings make up a professional game. The team with the most runs at the end of the game wins.

Pretty simple game.   See the ball, hit the ball.  See the ball, catch the ball.DSCN0053

The Admirals will kick off their 2013 Season this week “sometime” after the rain stops!  All of the Pre-Season Hype and Paper rankings really don’t mean much starting Monday.   Legacy or Curse?   It is a testament to the Program when the Admirals was the main story for NOT winning the States for the fifth time in a row.

Check out the schedule and you will see as usual, the Ads will play most of the Top Teams in the State in Chattanooga and Murfreesboro Tournaments.   And just for good measure, they travel to Atlanta to play one of the top 10 teams in the Nation.    Between the Farragut Invitational and the Dimarini/Diamond Tournament the Ads will host several nationally and state ranked teams.   And as it is always, local District and Region Teams are aiming at the team with the F on their hat and the Bullseye on their back.   But that’s Farragut Baseball and we wouldn’t change a thing!!

Come out and support your Admirals this season!!
