Admirals defeats Riverdale after late game double from Chambers, 4-3
The Admirals outlasted Riverdale on Friday after four lead changes, squeaking out a 4-3 win at Riverdale.
Farragut took the lead in the seventh inning and held on for the victory. Farragut scored on a two-run double by Chase Chambers off Drew Huff, scoring Anthony El Chibani and Nick Senzel.
Chambers racked up two RBIs on one hit for Farragut.
Chris Hutson recorded the win for the Admirals. He pitched two-thirds shutout innings. Hutson struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits. Nick Senzel had 2 hits and got the save, closing out the game in the 7th from the mound.
Neither team scored until the sixth when the Admirals got on the board. Farragut scored runs on a hit by pitch and a bases loaded walk by Brady Puckett.
Riverdale answered Farraguts top inning with three runs of its own in the sixth. Riverdale scored on an RBI single by Kaleb Swayze, an error, and a walk by Trevin Ayers.
