The Admirals struck quickly on Monday, taking quick advantage in the Region 2 semifinal versus Karns.  Farragut scored on a bases-clearing triple by Zach Yunger in the first inning, followed by an RBI single by Cade Burkey, and a single by Jake Hagenow in the second inning.

Farragut Admirals Varsity earned the victory despite allowing Karns to score three runs in the fifth inning. Karns’s big inning was driven by a single by Hartless.

Owen Kovacs earned the win for Farragut Admirals Varsity. He threw 7 innings, giving up 3 runs, 8 hits, striking out 3, and walking one.  Culp took the loss for Karns. He went two innings, surrendering six runs, seven hits, striking out one, and walking one.

Farragut Admirals Varsity had 11 hits in the game.  Yunger, Cade Burkey, and Jake Hagenoweach collected multiple hits for Farragut Admirals Varsity.

The Admirals advance to take on the Maryville Rebels on Wednesday for the Region 2 championship.  That game will be played at Maryville at their field at Colter Grove Intermediate School.  Should the Admirals win on Wednesday, the Sectional game will be at the Ballpark at Farragut versus the Region runner-up (Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett or Jefferson County).  Wednesday’s and Friday’s games will be broadcast on WUCPLP FM99.9 and streamed via WUCPLP.com.
