Admirals drop DeMarini nightcap to Goodpasture 5-5.  Farragut  was led byAlex Schuettler’s hitting. Schuettler went 2-2, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the seventh inning. 

Jammer Strickland put together a nice outing. Goodpasture managed just one hit off of Strickland, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his three innings of work. 

JR Davis got the win for Goodpasture. He allowed three runs over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out five, walked three and surrendered six hits.

Goodpasture went up for good in the second, scoring two runs on a groundout by JP Brenzie and an RBI single by Tate Gregory.

One run in the bottom of the third helped Farragut Admirals  close its deficit to 2-1. A sacrifice fly by Jammer Strickland fueled Farragut Admirals Varsity’s comeback. The Admirals  threat came to an end when Davis finally got Nick Senzel to ground out.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the fourth, Farragut Admirals Varsity faced just a 5-2 deficit. A sacrifice fly by Duncan Pence set off Farragut Admirals Varsity rally. Davis ended the inning by getting Jake Applegate to fly out.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the seventh, Farragut Admirals Varsity faced just a 5-3 deficit. A solo home run by Schuettler triggered Farragut Admirals Varsity’s comeback. But, Nick Bailey got Brett Hagenow to strike out to end the game.

Friday was a long day with a short turn around.  The Ads will play Soddy Daisy in Saturdays first game at 9AM at the Ball Park at Farragut.   Get out and support the Admirals!
