The 2017 season came to a close for the Farragut Admirals on Friday, as the Jefferson Co. Patriots claimed a sectional win 6-2 in 9 innings, earning a spot in next week’s AAA State Tournament.  The Admirals still accomplished much this season, finishing 33-10, District 4AAA regular season champions, and Region 2AAA Champions.

After 9 straight trips to the State Tournament, the Admirals will now begin the quest to return to Murfreesboro in 2018!!

Farragut Admirals Varsity lost the lead late in a 6-2 defeat to Jefferson County on Friday. The game was tied at two with Jefferson County batting in the top of the ninth when Rogers doubled off of Brad Day, driving in one run.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Farragut Admirals Varsity tied things up at two. With zero outs in the sixth inning Justen Freeman drove in two runs when he clobbered a mammoth homer over the left-center wall.

Farragut Admirals Varsity had six hits in the game.  Freeman and Carson Wright each collected multiple hits for Farragut Admirals Varsity.

Always an Admiral,
