The Admirals took wins from Morristown East in pool play, and Science Hill in one semi-final game to move to the Saturday night final at UT’s Lindsey Nelson Stadium in the Diamond Academy/Demarini Classic Tournament.

In the morning game against the Morristown East Hurricanes, Jordan Newby and Carson Strickland, in relief of starter Kyle Serrano, pitched the Ads to the 9-3 victory. Runs and hits were scattered all over the batting order in this game. The big inning for the Admirals was the fifth, when the Ads batted through the order, plating 5 runs. Hits in the inning were by AJ, Nick, Chase, Patrick, and Alex.

In the late afternoon semi-final versus the Science Hill Hilltoppers, Sam Savell was the pitching hero. He blanked the ‘Toppers on 5 hits, stranding 13 base-runners. Big Admiral hitters were Jammer (3 for 4), AJ (HR), Patrick (2 for 2), and Landon Foody (double). In all, the Ads collected 13 hits.
