The Admirals tops Sevier County in back-and-forth affair, 8-5

After five lead changes in Friday’s game at Farragut, the Ads finally pulled out a 8-5 win over Sevier County.   After Walks, HBP’s, Wind and Rain Delay all made the Ads night a long interesting one, the 2013 Farragut Admiral Baseball599519_523315961062702_829021106_n Team will be returning to the Spring Fling in Murfreesboro.   It wasn’t pretty, but the Ads did as they have done all season, finding a way to grind it out for a W.

Farragut  finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fourth inning. A sacrifice fly by Nick Senzel scored Sam Schulze and gave Farragut Admirals Varsity the lead for good.

 The Admirals  Brett Hagenow was perfect at the dish, going 2-2. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings. 

Patrick Raby was in control on the mound. Sevier County managed just two hits off of the Farragut Admirals Varsity’s pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his 4 1/3 innings of work.  Patrick releived Kyle Serrano who had control problems early giving up 5 runs on just 2 hits. 

The top of the first saw Sevier County take an early lead, 1-0.

Farragut  pushed across two runs in both the second inning and the sixth. In the second, Farragut Admirals Varsity scored on a two-run double by Schulze, scoring Gabe Waldrop and Alex Schuettler.

The  Admirals  didn’t give up the lead after the fourth inning. Additional runs came from two errors and a sacrifice fly by Jammer … Strickland.

Farragut Admirals Varsity increased its lead with two runs in the sixth. A double by Chase Chambers ignited the offense,, scoring Jammer . Strickland. That was followed up by Hagenow’s single, plating Chambers.

The Admirals will enter the Spring Fling with 32-8 Record for the  2013 Season with yet another District and Region Title!!
