The Admirals scored a come-from-behind victory over the Lenoir City Panthers at a chilly Ballpark at Farragut. Chris Hutson battled his way to the win on the mound, out-dueling his Panther counterpart, Hunter Wiggins. Hutson and Wiggins allowed 7 and 9 hits, respectively, but the Ads made theirs stand up for 3 more runs. Jordan Newby earned his 5th save, retiring the Panthers down in order over the last 2 innings.
While the Ads collected nine hits, only Gabe Waldrop and Chase Chambers had multiple hits with 2 each, both with a double and a single.
The Ads travel to Bearden on Thursday, to face the Bulldogs in the first of 2 games relatively back-to-back. The same 2 teams will return to face each other next Monday, with that game at Smokies Park at 6:30pm.
