The Admirals finished Friday’s rain-suspended game against Anderson County, in a perfect way on an absolute perfect day for baseball, cruising 17-3. Chris Hutson took the mound beginning in the second inning, and blanked the Mavericks in the 5-inning affair.

AJ Simcox torched the Mavericks from the plate, with 4 extra-base hits in as many at-bats, (triple, 2 doubles, and homer), accounting for 8 RBI. Jammer Strickland continued his hot-hitting in the leadoff spot, also going 4 for 4, all singles.

After spotting the Mavericks their 3 runs to open the Friday start, the Admirals quickly recovered, scoring 3 in their half of the first. Alex Scheuttler led of the Admiral second with the single, followed by Jammer’s single, AJ’s double, Nick Senzel’s single, and Chase Chambers first homer of the game, a 3-run shot to right. He later poked another solo homer in the fourth.
